Description
As Japan’s first dreadnought ship, Kongou Battleship was active in the Pacific battlefield during World War II. After two transformations, it became the only battleship in Japan with a speed of 30 knots. The overall performance of it is outstanding, with a length of 222 meters and a width of 31.7 meters. It is equipped with 8 double-mounted 356 mm main guns; 14 152-mm secondary guns and other equipment. In the Battle of Leyte Gulf, sinking the USS Gambier Bay and a destroyer was the best record of its service life.
