Magic Puzzle Golden Hind paper model kit is inspired by a galleon captained by Francis Drake in his circumnavigation of the world between 1577 and 1580. Golden Hind was launched in 1567 in British Plymouth, was originally named as “Pelican”. On the straight of Magellan, August 1578, the captain Francis Drake renamed the ship to Golden Hind. Golden Hind was the leading ship of the fleet that included 5 sailing ships. The mission of its journey was a sailing trough the Strait of Magellan to the west coach of South Amerika for exploration and then back to UK. Golden Hind became the first British ship sailing around the world. It came back to Plymouth in September 1580.
